Running 1,070 km — So They Don’t Have to Walk Alone
Farhad Mirzaie, an Afghan long-distance runner and social activist, is embarking on a powerful and symbolic journey:
25 marathons in 25 days across the France, from the city of Lille to Bayonne, covering 1,070 kilometers — to raise $1 million in humanitarian aid for Afghan children, women in crisis, and returning refugee families.
Afghanistan remains at the heart of one of the world’s most severe humanitarian crises.
Millions of children are out of school. Women continue to give birth without medical support. Families returning from exile face extreme poverty, hunger, and lack of shelter.
Farhad’s run is not only a test of physical endurance — it’s a message of hope, dignity, and solidarity with those who continue to suffer in silence.
Provide emergency food and healthcare for women and children.
Support education and psychosocial programs for displaced and vulnerable youth.
Assist returning refugee families with shelter and reintegration services.
Farhad Mirzaie, Afghanistan’s renowned endurance runner, is launching an extraordinary journey: running 25 marathons in 25 days across the France, from Lille to Bayonne— not for medals or records, but to raise $1 million in humanitarian aid for vulnerable Afghan children.
Starting 15 May 2026, Mirzaie will run 1,070 kilometers across Britain, carrying a message of hope and solidarity with millions of Afghan children affected by displacement, poverty, and lack of access to healthcare and education.
The Campaign Has Three
Core Objectives:
1. Raise global awareness of the urgent humanitarian crisis facing Afghan children
2. Mobilize donations to fund education, nutrition, and emergency medical aid
3. Give a voice to a generation at risk of being forgotten
A Story Beyond Endurance:
An accompanying film crew and advocacy team will document Farhad’s journey — not just the kilometers covered, but the human stories behind the cause. From coastal roads to city streets, every step represents a child’s right to grow, learn, and live in dignity.
“I am running for those who can’t — children who have lost their homes, their futures, and often their hope,” says Mirzaie.
Why This Matters:
Afghan children today face one of the most severe humanitarian crises in the world. Millions lack access to clean water, food, safety, and basic education. This campaign aims to turn compassion into action — one step, one donor, and one life at a time.
Deliver all funds transparently through registered humanitarian organizations working directly inside Afghanistan.
